I need expert help in cleaning my room . . . or...
This is my public commitment to cleaning my room by my birthday. Yea, happy birthday to me, spent all my money and my gift to myself is a clean room. Yea. http://realestate.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-documentid=22240513&gt1=35000 Reformed pack rat Erin Rooney Doland, who blogs about organization and who authored the forthcoming book “Unclutter Your Life in One Week,” says you must ask yourself...

This is how you describe an ugly victory
Texas beats Sooners 16-13, Bradford hurt (AP) Colt McCoy was a mess. His right thumbnail was ready to fall off, a nagging cold was wearing him down and Oklahoma was confusing him with blitzes he’d never seen. Then, with a chance to put the game away for No. 3 Texas midway through the fourth quarter, he threw an interception that could’ve turned into a go-ahead touchdown for the...

Chef Tim Love loves eating queso while watching football. Tim Loves owns Lonesome Dove in Fort Worth. He won on Iron Chef and was a guest judge on Top Chef. He also made the best kangaroo nachos I’ve ever had. Well, the only kangaroo nachos I’ve ever had.

Thank you for your resume, but
your Ivy League education, ability to speak both French and Japanese, and volunteer work in Africa does not make you a good candidate for the position.

2015
I always said that I would leave California before I got my drivers licensed renewed … guess what came in the mail today. I also told a friend that I couldn’t wait to wear my UT jersey to work the Monday after Texas beats Cal … in 2015. She asked with a grin, “you’re going to be here in 2015?”

Some stats to brighten your day
A coworker, an Aggie’s girlfriend, sent me this great email this morning. I wanted to share the joy with all of you. Texas is Number 2 on the all time NCAA wins list, 834 wins in 116 years, behind only Michigan with 874 wins in 129 seasons. Texas has been ranked in the AP Top 25 for a UT-record and nation-leading 144 straight weeks.  The next longest active streak is Southern Cal’s 119...

It's Saturdays like this when . . .
… I wish that I was in Austin (or owned a TV). Apparently, everyone has better things to do than watch the most important game of the season, yet. 1) boxing 2) opera at the ball park 3) moving into a new home I’m sorry …  but watching Texas kill Tech on their way to the National Championship should be everyone’s top priority. I predict a victory this weekend, unlike last...
